Pete's Log: who I write like
Entry #1693, (Books, Writing, n such)(posted when I was 31 years old.)
Miriam posted a link to I Write Like on facebook, so I decided to play with it. I had it analyze all the log entries I wrote that I have rated a 5. The results are as follows:
Entry | Writer |
---|---|
134 | James Joyce |
136 | Ursula K. Le Guin |
176 | Arthur C. Clarke |
361 | Stephen King |
696 | P. G. Wodehouse |
918 | Lewis Carroll |
1014 | Dan Brown |
1037 | William Gibson |
1126 | H.P. Lovecraft |
1134 | David Foster Wallace |
1161 | James Joyce |
1218 | Dan Brown |
1220 | James Joyce |
1250 | James Joyce |
1293 | David Foster Wallace |
1410 | David Foster Wallace |
1453 | David Foster Wallace |
1506 | Charles Dickens |
I find it interesting that there is so much variation early on, while James Joyce and David Foster Wallace are "responsible" for 7 of the 9 most recent entries. If I'm bored sometime, I could write a script to have all entries analyzed.
Also, entry 918, supposedly written like Lewis Carrol, consists solely of the text alias cwdcmd "alias precmd 'cd - ; unalias precmd'"
.
In this entry I apparently write like Dan Brown.
