Pete's Log: Oh Red Stars
Entry #1856, (Life in General)(posted when I was 42 years old.)
Back before I started keeping good notes again, Jamie, Mary, Bert, Annie and I went to see the Chicago Red Stars play. It was their first game at home after the Women's World Cup, and lots of other people had the same idea we did. It was a lot of fun. And we discovered that season tickets are real cheap. So Jamie and I signed up for three season tickets for the 2020 season.
Alas you can probably imagine how that turned out.

Anyway, when it became clear that the regular season wasn't going to happen, the Red Stars offered us a choice of getting a refund, getting replacement tickets for the next season, or having our payment be a donation. We chose donation. And they ended up sending us our tickets anyway. I'm commemorating them here, since we just found them again.
We're planning to try buying season tickets again for next year. Fingers crossed.
