The good news: the improved default time zone logic is working correctly, the add entry form is suggesting CST for this entry.
The bad news: it's not even 5 pm yet and it's already (mostly) dark out.
Slight silver lining, though: since it will be completely dark out by the time I'm driving home from daycare, I can peek if the lights are on at Gordon field. Not optimistic though.
Additional dark days observation: I should really get the new battery and solar panel installed in the library.
