Pete's Log: Riot Fest 2023 Day 3

Jamie and I did the late shift for the final day of Riot Fest. We got to the Fest around 6 pm and caught the end of Dresden Dolls, then grabbed some food and watched the Gaslight Anthem. They were good and I even recognized most of their songs.
The final act was The Cure. I’ve been looking forward to seeing them since May. They were fantastic. They played two hours. The second and fourth songs were “Pictures of You” and “Love Song” respectively. Then after a few more songs I knew they transitioned into more of their dark gothy repertoire. It was all good but I don’t think I recognized a song for an hour. Then their encore featured “Lullaby,” “Friday I’m in Love,” “Close To Me,” and “Boys Don’t Cry” among others and it was phenomenal.
