Pete's Log: 2012 music
Entry #1757, (Music)(posted when I was 34 years old.)
So 2012 was a pretty epic year for me in terms of music purchases. I spent 479.13 euro on 882 songs, averaging 54 cents a song. The music I bought in 2012 makes up almost 20% of my entire music collection. So pretty epic. Amazon was definitely an enabler, given how easy they've made it to buy mp3s, and they got 424.85 euro. I included the full list below, but based on play count, my top 5 albums of 2012 are:
- Downtown Struts - Victoria!
- Vacation Bible School - Ruined The Scene
- Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb
- Bouncing Souls - How I Spent My Summer Vacation
- Showcase Showdown - Permanent Stains
Of course, only one of those albums (Victoria!) was actually released in 2012. On The Impossible Past by The Menzingers could have topped that list if I had bought it earlier in the year. Instead, it's in the running to be my top album of 2013.
