Pete's Log: Making Good Use of This Thing

Worked downtown today. It felt like it had only been a month or so since I grabbed lunch with George, but apparently it's already been four. Weird.
Today we grabbed lunch again and were spontaneously joined by two of his colleagues/friends. At one point George started talking about how the two of us at one point implemented a socket interface using C++ stream operators, and I entertained myself (and George) by being able to find that we had done so in April of 2000.
