Pete's Log: Friday Grilling

Entry #2540, (Cooking)
(posted when I was 45 years old.)

It's been almost two years since our grill upgrade and we've made some great use of it. In particular in combination with our CSA.

Today's CSA box was particularly inspiring, and the results were quite delicious, so here's what I did.

Plate with grilled chicken, corn on the cob, potates, green peppers, onion and carrots
  • T minus 2 hours: marinate chicken breast strips in olive oil, avocado oil, soy sauce, salt, pepper, cumin, smoked paprika, thyme, oregano, garlic, sugar, and lime juice.
  • T minus 45 minutes: put New Norland red potatoes from the CSA on the grill (with butter, avocado oil, salt, pepper, oregano and thyme)
  • T minus 30 minutes: put green bell pepper, candy onions, purple carrot (all from CSA) with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic on the grill
  • T minus 20 minutes: put sweet corn (from the CSA) on the grill
  • T minus 15 minutes: put marinated chicken on the grill.
